Raphael Reboul bases his acting work on principles of emotional realism and intense physical commitment.

It is at the Keys Acting Studio that Raphael developed his approach, keen to providework that is detailed, rigorous and poetic.


In 2020, Raphael landed the lead role in “ Native Speaker ”, written and directed by the British-Polish filmmaker Alex Ochman. The film was released at the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival (LA Shorts Fest 2021), and Raphael’s work was awarded the Best Actor prize at the Rome Prisma Film Awards. Native Speaker has accumulated more than 7 festival nominations, and Alex Ochman was awarded the Best Director prize at the Boden Film Festival. This tour ended with two nominations at MADRIFF (Madrid Independent Film Festival), Best Director for Alex, and Best Actor for Raphael.

 

Raphael held ithe title role of Warren Straub in the first French adaptation of "This is our Youth" by the great American playwright Kenneth Lonergan. The creative residency was at the Théâtre Armand in Salon de Provence and the performances took place at the Montmartre Galabru from January to March 2024.

 

Guided by Arnaud Desplechin for his latest film "Filmlovers!" Raphael began working in feature production, the film was presented at the Cannes Film Festival in 2024. He also worked under the precise and sensitive direction of Lucile Hadzihalilovic for her film "The Ice Tower", which won the Silver Bear for its creative ensemble at the Berlinale in 2025.

 

In June 2024, La Maison du Film, which works to promote emerging talent in French cinema, awarded him their Label Interprétation prize.
